Real Madrid CF is a professional football team is the Spanish league, La Liga BBVA, they were founded in the early 1900s and are one of the proud creators of the Spanish league, they are the all time leaders of the Spanish league having won it 32 times in total, they won the champions league (cup with the 4 top teams in several leagues in Europe) 9 times and are the top winners of the cup. Real Madrid are very famous for their money, they have spent over 1 billion dollars in 10 years, they possess the 2 most expensive football players in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo for 132 million dollars with a weekly pay of 425 thousand dollars a week, and Gareth bale for 138 million dollars with a weekly pay of 300 thousand dollars a week. Although they have a team of star players, they have been struggling to win the league because of their top rivals FC Barcelona, they have also been struggling to win the champions league again, having not won it since 2002 where Zine dine Zidane shot a famous volley outside of the box to win the game.
Real Madrid do not only have a rivalry between clubs but also between players, Cristiano Ronaldo is often compared to FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi as they both have appeared in the top 3 of the ballon d'or which is a trophy of which the best player in Europe dreams of winning. Cristiano Ronaldo is the top scorer of Real Madrid at the moment and in only 5 years is the 5th top scorer in Real Madrid history, he counts 210 goals in 205 games.
